When I say I did nothing, that’s wrong : I took my flights (oh holly days tralalala) for Bristol in mid-august, precisely the 12/14 august, so I can be there for Jody’s opening show. Can’t wait.
I still need to book an hotel and aswell a flight to Paris for Gorillaz concert. Which is in november, but I think I could mess with this one easily if I don’t move my ass.

And I saw Mr Dave Parle yesterday, when he was mixing here, in the Apolo. That was a good one, but jeez why making party in the middle of the week? I might look like 25 but I’m f**kin 30. Which implies difficulties to recover.

Next party? Sunday, with Mr Hawk.

Speaking about motivation, a friend of mine told me that when I “read/see something that wasn’t (my) idea, I get inspired with new ideas”.
Right.

Maybe that during an extreme competition (skate, BMX, longboard, FMX, inline…) I was thinking to create a mini skatepark for my tortoises.

Anyway, as part of the Sonar which was kinda holidays for me, I watch some movies that I hereby recommend : The Boat that Rocked first. Already watch, redone, and pfwah. Mmhh VanLock told us (Tony & I, please follow) to watch The man from Earth. Highly recommended. The rest? Not worth it. Except the Fall but eh, that’s now a classic eh.

Now? Back to FlickR and citynk.

Then I had holidays to Bristol, to see the closing party of Adam McLevey (What else is new?), but also to go to Upfest, the graffiti festival.
Leaving Barca on time, at noon, arrival begin of afternoon in Bristol, under the sun, going to the Toto for the show drinking, seeing MCL painting, chatting. Leaving.
Going into Bristol, taking pictures, walking in the city and discovering some old jewels. Meeting people on an Urban View, watching Ian Phenna and Fauna Graphic make a live collaboration, drinking, leaving.
For Upfest? I spent my day taking pictures, learning how do their shit, being impressed by some of them, not at all by some others, and… leaving thanks.

I promised Jody I will go back for his solo show – will try to do my best this summer.
I promised myself I will go back for Upfest11 – will try to do my portfolio err.

I can’t believe that was last week only, seems like an eternity.

Additionnally, I went to see Cypress Hill (yeah!), some friends came down here and even my parents (woah).

We are sunday, next week will be busy with Sonar and Mr Montana. Summer is here afterall.

Anyway, I’m back from Dublin, spent a nice time w/ The Family and even manage to come back with some toys for krafsht. I think that’ll be fun.

Anyway, I was in the plane and I had a reflexion about FaceBook and other things related to the virtuality, the information, the communication… Might write something. Or not.

I had time to read also, “Gonzo Highway” from Hunter S. Thompson (mail exchanges with different people) and “Rant” from Chuck Palahniuk. Or how to motivate and Alex to take back his typewriter.

Is it enough? I hope so. ‘coz me is going to bed now.

First the week was more or less a disaster. I mean, officially I work for a company…who juste fired half of the team. Weird feelings when u arrived to a floor (half) empty… I mean, I spent so much time (in the office) (outside) with them that some of them became friends. Some others more than simple colleagues. And YES for some of them I strictly don’t care. Sorry.
Additionnally, things make the things worst (maybe) and… “no fate, but what we make”

And finally the weekend arrived, with a (short)trip to Paris. Paname. My capital. My love and my hate. I love this city as much as I hate her. I could speak about how I miraculously I arrived to her, thanks to some bus drivers, pilots, crew, cabman and – of course – Mr Montana himself. Even if we spent 20 minutes to try to find each other, thanks to a deficient technology. Technology about which I should/will write later.
Anyway.
Short walk around Montmartre, trying to find a bar opened just in order to share a beer, after having find some nice graffitis and…
RIP my MacBook. At least his screen. Fuck. We’re so dependent from the technology (again). Trust me, this and a shitty coffee lets you enter the day in a bad bad way.
But we’re in Paris, so that’s a pleasure to walk around and see lovely urban art. From La Chapelle (Obey, Space Invaders) to St Germain (Obey, Space, MBW), the time is nice, and I even meet my parents… when it rains but that was not scheduled this way. Blah blah and some Ethiopian food eaten, spicy but good, I go back to depress in my hotel room.
But my friends are what they are and around 1h, Mr Montana, TKK and I we meet them inside (oh yes, so much inside) La Vilette where the music is already so loud that the floor is vibrating. Or pulsing. Or… Okay you got the idea.
Blahblah again, chitchat with everyone, Mandy makes everyone happy and when Marc Houle starts we’re still talking about life, like girls (sorry for this one darlings, that was easy)… Break, beers and at 2am THE show starts.
I will probably write more later about this, not only the man or the show but more globally about M-nus, just a suggestion : run to see him.

Again a walk, first because I need books (yeah ‘coz of course I did only the discs the day before : I’m amazed by the price of the culture in France – as in Spain – but hey, there’s second hand shop, that’s just time consuming that’s all) and then because I had spare time after the hotel but before my trip back. So direction the Pantheon as I heard there was some nice things to see (thanks Aurore for the tip) and I’m happy to leave Paris with the vision of an open air exhibition from Jeff Aerosol. A pleasure for the eyes. A visual candy. Yummy.

Then? Nothing to say, I can go back to Spain – seems that the ashcloud is not against me – and here we are, monday.
I already took an hotel for the Upfest in Bristol. I might go to Dublin soon. I want to go back to London and Paris. I’m waiting for Sonar with Tony and Richard.
And there’s so many things to do…
